*Gymnastics star*

We've decided to make a gymnastics star of Garpur and took him to his first gymnastics lesson today at a club here in Reykjavik called "Ármann".
Well, that's not really true, we took him because of his physical energy level and the intense interest he has shown sports activities lately.

The first class was very successful, especially due to the fact that we slept a little too long this morning and just made it to class before 9:25 (all dressed and Garpur partially fed a banana and some milk (sportsfood))!

The children in his class all turn 3 or 4 years old this year, and the teaches/coaches started by dividing them into groups of 2, 3 and 4 year olds, 4-5 kids in each group. Then the teachers led each group to a base where they practised various exercises. They did summersaults, hanging from bars, jumping between pillows, swinging in rope, klimbing in bars, running really fast, sliding into a pile of cushions ... and lots more!

Garpur had a great time, allthough he didn't really get the part where when the leading teacher blew her whistle, he had to line up with his group ... but we'll just have to practise that at home before our next class, next Saturdaymorning!

Anyways, we're so proud of our little gymnastics star ... I think we're actually as excited about these classes as Garpur!
