Easter holiday!
We've finally gone on our Easter holiday to England. Ohhhhh, It's wonderful. For the last few weeks I've been working a lot, first for a theatre group, and then several small project all over the place. The last project was finished and handed in the day before yesterday, at 4 o'clock in the morning ... then we left for our holiday yesterday.
The trip was fine and the kids behaved really well. We left by taxi, took the air-bus, the plane, then 3 trains and finally one last taxi to Vala's and Steve's place.
This morning when we woke up, Vala and Steve were working already. So, the four of us went for a walk. The highlight of the walk was when we met a man walking his dog. Garpur approached him and asked him very politely: "Má ég klappa hundinum?" ... the man replied "Ofcourse you can pet the dog, mate". We found this very funny. Afterwards we explained to Garpur that people here don't generally speak Icelandic, but that he was very brave and clever to have tried anyways, because the man had understood him correctly when he had asked so politely!
